Nicolaus Cusanus'un sonsuzluk düşüncesi ve modern felsefeye etkisi

Abstract

Günümüzde her ne kadar kendisini bilim ve matematik altında incelesek de sonsuzluk kavramı felsefede de müstesna yerini korumuştur. Öyle ki felsefe tarihindeki radikal değişimlerin gelişme ve oluşmasında sonsuzluk kavramı üzerine düşünmenin yeri oldukça önemlidir. Nitekim sonsuzluk kavramı felsefenin hemen her alanına sirayet eden bir kavramdır, kendisi düşünüldüğü andan itibaren birçok soruna işaret eder. Sonsuzluk kavramının bu elverişli yapısını gören ve sonsuzluğun kendisini kendi içerisinde düşünmek suretiyle bir felsefeyi, ve nihayetinde teolojiyi, öngören kişilerden birisi de Nicolaus Cusanus'tur. Cusanus'un yazmış olduğu De Docta Ignorantia adlı eser özgünlüğünün yanı sıra kendisinden sonraki felsefi tartışmaları ve de bu felsefe tartışmalarından meydana gelen bilimsel tartışmaları oldukça etkilemiştir. Hatta öyle ki modern felsefenin başlangıcı olarak Cusanus'un kendisi gösterilebilir. Bu durumlar ele alındığında Cusanus'un De Docta Ignorantia adlı eserindeki sonsuzluk düşüncesini incelemek oldukça faydalı olacaktır. ----- Today, although we examine it under science and mathematics, the concept of infinity has preserved its exceptional place in philosophy. In fact, thinking about the concept of infinity has a very important place in the development and formation of radical changes in the history of philosophy. As a matter of fact, the concept of infinity is a concept that spreads to almost every field of philosophy, and it points to many problems as soon as it is considered. Nicolaus Cusanus is one of the people who saw this favorable nature of the concept of infinity and envisioned a philosophy, and ultimately a theology, by thinking infinity in itself. In addition to its authenticity, Cusanus' De Docta Ignorantia influenced the philosophical debates that followed it and the scientific debates that emerged from these philosophical debates. In fact, Cusanus himself can be shown as the beginning of modern philosophy, depending on how we understand modern philosophy. Considering these situations, it will be very fruitful to examine the idea of infinity in Cusanus' De Docta Ignorantia.
