dc.description.abstractVocational maturity is an important part of understanding the vocational development processes of individuals and evaluating their level of development. The aim of this research is to examine whether there is a relationship between the vocational maturity of high school seniors and their hopelessness. “Vocational Maturity Scale (VMS)”, “Beck Hopelessness Scale (BHS)” and demographic information form were filled in by 523 Turkish 12th grade students. According to the results, it was determined that there is a negative significant relationship between the vocational maturity and hopelessness of both female and male students. Evaluation of the relationship between vocational maturity and hopelessness can provide appropriate targets for the development of interventions that will increase the level of vocational maturity and indirectly limit the emergence of hopelessness before individuals reach the last year of high school, where they encounter the process of making a professional choice.en_US
