Platon düşüncesinde Dunamis

Abstract

Bu çalışma Platon düşüncesinde "dunamis"i (δύναμις) Platon'un diyaloglarından hareketle anlamaya yönelik bir girişimdir. Söz konusu terimin Platon düşüncesindeki merkezi rolünü göstermek amacıyla öncelikle mevzubahis terimi "aretê" (ἀρετή), "epistêmê" (ἐπιστήμη) ve "kosmos" (κόσμος) gibi felsefenin başlıca kavramları etrafında araştıracağız. Ardından dunamis'in en önemli kullanımının geçtiği Sofist diyaloğunu inceleyerek me on'un (μὴ ὂν) varlığının kaynağının dunamis olduğunu gösterip Sofist'in bizi yönlendirmesi ile Platon'un Parmenides ile hesaplaşmasını gündeme getirip, Platon'un dunamis terimini hem Parmenides'e karşı çıkmak için kullandığını hem de bu terimi kendi felsefe ve varlık görüşünü belirlediğini savunacağız. ----- This work is an attempt to understand the term of "dunamis" (δύναμις) Plato's thought, based on Plato's dialogues. In order to demonstrate the central role of this term in Plato's thought, we will first investigate this term in view of the main concepts of philosophy such as "aretê" (ἀρετή), "epistêmê" (ἐπιστήμη) and "kosmos" (κόσμος). Subsequently, by examining the Sophist dialogue in which a critical use of dunamis occurs, we show that the source of me on (μὴ ὂν) is dunamis. Through the orientation Sophist provides us, by bringing up Plato's confrontation with Parmenides, we argue that Plato used the term of dunamis both to oppose Parmenides and to determine his own view of philosophy and being.
