Mekan sorusuna dair fenomenolojik araştıma imkanları

Abstract

Soyut, matematiksel ya da Kartezyen bir mekan anlayışı karşısında duyulur, canlı ve yaşantılanan mekanın fenomenolojik kavrayışı önceliklendirilebilir mi? Bu çalışma yaşantıya yabancı olmayan mekan kavrayışını fenomenoloji ile temellendirir. Fenomenoloji birinci tekil şahıs odaklı yer fikri ve mekanın tezahürü fikrini ortaya koyar. Buna göre mekan algısının çıkış noktası bedendir. Ne var ki Kartezyen görüşün uzam kurgusu bedenin de bir cisim olarak yorumlanmasını beraberinde getirir. Oysa mekanın uzam olarak yorumlanmasındaki değişiklik bizi Husserl ve Merleau-Ponty'nin mekan kavrayışına götürür. Bu bağlamda çalışmamız mekanın kökenine yönelik ortaya koyulan bu kavrayışlarda beden meselesinin nasıl dönüştüğünü de ortaya çıkarır. Bunu yaparken mekanın bilgisi ile mekanın yaşantısı arasındaki gerilimi sorunsallaştırır. Bu tez, mekanın fenomenolojik kavrayışından hareketle yaşantılayan bedenin her türlü mekana kaynaklık eden hakiki bir kavrayışı temellendirdiğini öne sürer. ----- Can a phenomenological understanding of sensible, living and lived space be prioritized over an abstract, mathematical or Cartesian understanding of space? This study grounds the understanding of space that is not alien to experience in phenomenology. Phenomenology puts forward the idea of place and the manifestation of space centered on the first person singular. Accordingly, the starting point of the perception of space is the body. However, the Cartesian view of space leads to the interpretation of the body as a corpus. However, in the interpretation of space as extension the change leads us to Husserl and Merleau-Ponty's conception of space. In this context, our study also reveals how the issue of the body is transformed in these understandings of the origin of space. In doing so, it problematizes the tension between the knowledge of space and the experience of space. This thesis argues from the phenomenological conception of space that the lived body grounds a genuine understanding that is the source of all kinds of space.
