Taşradan payitahta Şehzade Murad’ın (III.) kapu halkı

Abstract

Bu tezde, sancağa gönderilen son Osmanlı şehzadelerinden Şehzade Murad'ın (III.) Manisa'daki kapu halkı'nın organizasyonu ve bu kapudaki görevlilerin gelirleri, görevleri ve ilişki ağları ile Şehzade Murad'ın 22 Aralık 1574'teki (8 Ramazan 982) cülusundan sonra, Manisa'daki kapu halkının padişah kapusuna intikali incelenmektedir. Bu minvalde Manisa'daki şehzade kapusundan payitahta geçişleri sağlanan hizmetlilerin görev ve maaşlarındaki terakkiler nispetince 16. yüzyılda bir Osmanlı şehzadesinin, kendi kapusunu merkez teşkilatına hangi oranda dahil edebildiği sorusuna cevap aranmaktadır. ----- This thesis examines the organization of the household (kapu) under the rule of Şehzade Murad III, one of the last Ottoman princes assigned to the sanjak of Manisa. It investigates the income, duties, and relationship networks of the officials within this kapu, as well as the transfer of the household in Manisa to the sultan's kapu following Şehzade Murad's accession on December 22, 1574 (8 Ramadan 982). The main research question evaluates the extent to which an Ottoman prince in the 16th century could integrate his own household into the central organization, considering advancements in the duties and salaries of the servants transferred from the prince's gate in Manisa to the sultan's gate.
