dc.description.abstractIn the development process, education policies applied in the country are important. Education policies reflect the expectations of the ruling class, but also include ideological elements. While ideologies create the ideal type of man, they mainly try to influence the educational system and educational policies. Moreover, education policies consist of a number of decisions and principles related to education. Each country has its own educational policy. The main subjects of educational policy may be the priorities in education, investments of educational institutions, the size of schools and classrooms, individuals’ choice of schools, specialisation in education, teacher training, teacher employment, teacher salaries, educational programmes, teaching methods, basic values to be given to students. On the other hand, comparative education is not a field that tries to provide a world-wide solution to educational problems. It is an area that enables countries to act in a wide perspective while looking for solutions to their education problems by analysing educational cases in various countries.en_US
