Violins, Violence, Silence: Oıtward Turn Of Translation Studies

Abstract

This bachelor thesis project covers the translation project of the article titled “Violins, violence, translation: looking outwards.” written by Mª Carmen África Vidal Claramonte. This thesis consists of separate sections for pre-translation, translation, and post-translation processes to clarify each step that I have taken during this project in detail. First and foremost, the preparation phase of the project is explained in the pre-translation section. The translation process is explained in the translation process section. The post-translation process is explained in the post-translation process section. My opinion on the article is included in the discussion section. Lastly, source and target text, terminology list, and visual materials can be found in the appendices section.
