Translation Project on Translation as Intercultural Mediation
Abstract
We are living in such a global world that we encounter people from other nations everywhere. It could be either on social media or in real life. Sometimes, or most of the time, we have a hard time communicating with foreign people. I believe, the reason is that people live in different environments and societies, that they have disparate religions and dissimiliar languages, and hence, all these distinct aspects and thoughts create our unique cultures. Therefore, all people perceive this world differently. When we have several thought and belief systems, meeting on a common ground is very hard. So, our way of communication and our body language is very important when we communicate with someone from different a nation. We have to be careful about not being offensive or not making any hateful comments or any insults.
